Our office
Neighborhood heating facilities can be found everywhere in former socialist countries. Situated in high density housing neighborhoods, these facilities deliver today spaces for additional functions in areas hat originally were planned as monofunctional. New technologies significantly decreased the space needed by central heating infrastructure, making place for new uses. We reimagined the interior space made of prefabricated concrete elements using not only it's height but adapting the inserted use to the existing structure and proportions.
The value of concrete structures is not clear to everybody. For us it was one of the core qualities of this industrially built container, typical for the pre-89 period.
